A good maintenance for heavy equipment begins with a solid understanding of the crane or heavy equipment, its components, its capabilities and its limitations. Unscheduled downtime can cost you dearly; Incorporating manufacturer’s specifications, industry safety standards, and solid inspection process will greatly assist the overall functionality of any critical piece of the equipment.
For a better maintenance / repair needs of the equipment, a technician is highly required. Technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining the equipment, their duties may include replacing defective parts, cleaning equipment, testing machinery, and overhauling cranes. Technicians diagnose problems by operating the machines or inspecting the equipment. They may also estimate the cost of repairs, order parts and track crane maintenance by writing technical reports.
